The windmill is located in an un-wooded spine of Bílé Karpaty south-easterly from the village Kuželov and southwesterly from Velká nad Veličkou. It is one of a few preserved Holland-type windmills. The mill was built presumably in 1842 and used by farmers for over 100 years. It was closed in 1946. In 1973 it was handed over to TMB which completed its reconstruction and renovation, following which the mill became a serviceable part of the exposition. The whole area is situated in its original setting with almost completely preserved architecture. The windmill is a cone-shaped stony building with a roof-tiled top. The roof is winds around its vertical axis so that the wind-wheel is always positioned windward. It has four vanes fixed together at the end of the arbour. There are several farmhouses next to the mill. Original technical tools are located in all of the three floors of the mill. There is a cog gear on the top floor, a grinding roller on the second floor and a sifting system on the first floor. The mill itself consists of two grindstones. It is possible to lift the upper one and change the gap between those two stones according to the method applied to grinding. There is an oven for bread-baking on the ground floor and two entrance doors in case the wind-wheel is turning in front of one of them. In the neighbouring houses there are exhibitions demonstrating the lifestyle and farming of people living there in the 19th and 20th century. A collection of farm machinery and equipment documenting agricultural technologies is another part of the exhibition along with tools used for maintenance of the mill which was performed by the miller. The traditional feast "Horňácké slávnosti" takes place in premises of the windmill annually in June.
