Crafts
The collection of crafts is divided into several subgroups: locksmith, butcher, shoemaker, woodcutter, bookbinder, cooper, wheelwright, bag-maker, carpenter, hairdresser, tailor and blacksmith.
Locksmith
189 registered collection items such as locks, keys, handles, tags and the like. This collection was a transfer from the collection of locks from Opavian museum in the years 1954-1963. The working tools collection is incomplete.
Butcher
63 registered collection items. The foundation is a collection of the estate of Mr. Svarc of Koryčany obtained in 1970 (50% complete). Other articles have been supplemented by a random collection. Collection is 80% complete.
Shoemaker
120 registered collection items. Comes to a large extent from the city of Brno, but small part of it comes from the decommissioned estates of the Square in Zdar upon Sazava in 1973. The collection is about 90% complete.
Woodcutter
282 registered collection items, comprising mainly of teaching materials which were acquired in 1975 following the liquidation of the Department of Forestry Agricultural Universities in Brno. Collection is complete.
Bookbinder
40 registered collection items. The bookbinding items come from two sites - Frýdek-Místek from 1973 and Podhradní Lhoty from 1978. The collection is complete.
Cooper
140 registered collection items. Most were purchased in 1976 from Ivančice where the craft originated. The collection is 90% complete.
Wheelwright
68 collection items acquired in 1989 in Milotice previously owned by wheelwright Master Mr. Zboril. Collection is complete and currently a part of the exposition in Těšany.
Bag-maker
35 registered items, which have been obtained in 1975 from Uherský Brod, following the last production of suitcases - boxes - bags. It consists of machinery presses, riveters, nail-guns including hand tools. The collection is complete.
Joiner
120 registered collection items. Half the items were obtained in 1976 in Ivančice and the second part including machinery that has been purchased by TMB from Těšany in 2000. Machinery and tools form a comprehensive collection.
Barber
43 registered collection items. The collection items have been acquired in 1979 from Mr. Záhradnícek of Ivančice. Collection is 95% complete.
Tailor
42 registered collection items. The entire contents of a tailors' workshop were obtained in 1986 from Svitavy. This collection is about 80% complete.
Blacksmith
750 registered objects form part of the exhibition of technical monuments, whilst the others are held on deposit. The centre-point of the exposition was purchased from workshops in Boskovice in 1971. Other items amounting to 50% of the exhibited material were acquired through various collections. Exposition is complete and functional.
