The collection includes evidence of industrial activity and industrial architecture, since the Industrial Revolution to the present.

The materials are mostly of two-dimensional character, documented primarily from Southern Moravia, with an emphasis on Brno, and in particular Brno’s industrial agglomeration, which led to significant changes in the manufacturing sector (industry downturn, radical changes to the typical process of production, etc.). This documentation is designed to capture the current state of development together with its items documenting the disappearance of production processes which are not often documented. This collection is not complete and its content is continuously evolving and dependent upon socio economic changes.
