Cabinet of electron microscopy

Represented in the collection are optical microscopes from all over the world, from the end of the 18th century to the 1960s, including a stereo-microscope, polarizing microscopes, magnifying preparation glasses, projection microscopes, photo labs for microscopes, special condensers, measuring oculars, lighting lamps and various other accessories. The collection activity is primarily focused on the Czechoslovak products from the companies: Serb & Stys - Prague, Meopta and ER-HA Kromeriz.

However, it also includes foreign products, which emerged and were used during the existence of Czechoslovakia. The collection is being continuously added to and extended through systematic collection i.e. through donations from schools and institutions and purchases from physical and legal entities. A special group in this field are electron microscopes. This collection is unique in the Czech Republic as well as other European museums. It contains two basic types of this equipment: Tesla BS 242, BS 413, BS 500 and BS613 radiographic microscopes and Tesla BS 300, BS 301 and BS 350th scanning microscopes. The BS 300 and BS 301 models were made operational and will serve for demonstration purposes to future optics expositions. The collection also contains the electron lithographer BS 601 unique in European museum collections. Scanning microscopes are being complemented by a device naprašovačka intended for biological preparations for scanning microscopes. A part of the collection also includes the Tesla ultramicrotom that served for making ultrathin cuts for radiographic microscopes. Our next goal is to connect the mobile scanning microscope TESLA BS 343A (called Pearl) to these devices, which in some workplaces is coming to the end of its operational life and therefore proposed to be decommissioned.
