The field collection contains items documenting the history of aviation in the territory of the former Czechoslovakia, and Austria-Hungary and Europe. This includes three-dimensional objects such as the actual aircraft, the airline industry products, etc., and objects belonging to renowned scientists, engineers and pilots It is a perfectly documented history of the field during the First Republic and very well documented for period of Austro-Hungary and the Second World War. Less well documented is the post-war period due to the existence of absurd secrecy. The collection contains the residue of the estates of Ing. Krumbach, G. Wellner, J. Anderle, spouses Krčových and others together with pilot logs, original photographs, etc. The collection that relates to space only contains written and photographic materials. With regard to the geographic definition of interest to the field of aviation, attention is focused on the region of Moravia and Bohemia. Due to the extent of the field, co-operation is necessary between design, manufacturing and use affecting virtually the whole of Europe and partly the whole world. Due to the problems with storage space the collection only contains a few aircraft: MiG-19 S, MiG-21 M, L-29 MS, HC-102, W-526 and a few rotorcrafts. This series will be complemented by other aircraft such as: L-39, MiG-15 and L-410, in order to reflect the most important types of aircrafts manufactured in the Czech Republic. Also included in the collection (with the exception of complete collections) is the entire series of ejector seats used in the Czech Republic. Machine production for the aerospace industry is well represented in the collection. However, there are problems regarding the documentation for recent years.Ing.
